RAIC in Microsoft Teams and Copilot

One RAIC app for Microsoft 365 brings two things into the tools your people already use: the RAIC bot in Teams chat, for submitting AI use cases and deciding intakes on cards, and Ask RAIC, an agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot that answers questions from your RAIC data. Both act as the signed-in person, within their RAIC role.

    Installing the app

    • The RAIC app is not in the Teams Store yet. Ask Rhindon support for the app package, then upload it in the Teams admin center under Teams apps → Manage apps.
    • To let people add Ask RAIC in Copilot, deploy it from the Microsoft 365 admin center under Agents → All agents to the people or groups who should have it.
    • People who chat with Ask RAIC need a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence, or Copilot pay-as-you-go turned on for agents. The Teams bot needs no Copilot licence.

Linking your RAIC account in Teams

    • Send RAIC any message in Teams. It answers with a Link my account button.
    • Sign in to RAIC with the same email address as your Teams account and confirm. The bot then knows who you are in RAIC.
    • Your links are listed on the same page (/teams/link), where you can remove them. Typing unlink to the bot removes the link too.
    • Someone who leaves your organization or is deactivated in RAIC is unlinked the next time the bot hears from them.

What you can do in Teams

    submit
Opens a card to submit a new AI use case. Available to Submitters, Intake Admins, Workflow Admins and Org Admins.
    approvals
Lists the use case intakes waiting for your decision, each on a card you can approve or reject with a comment. Available to Intake Admins, Workflow Admins and Org Admins.
    Approval alerts
Approval requests, reminders and final decisions that RAIC emails you also arrive as a card in your chat with RAIC. A use case submitted from Teams alerts the people who can decide it.
    help
Lists what the bot can do for you.

Ask RAIC in Microsoft 365 Copilot

    • Pick Ask RAIC in Copilot and ask a question such as “List our AI systems” or “Which controls are overdue?”.
    • The first time, Copilot asks you to sign in to RAIC. You complete RAIC's two-step check and choose permissions on RAIC's consent screen: read permissions are ticked for you, and write permissions stay off unless you tick them.
    • Ask RAIC uses the RAIC MCP server, so it sees only what your RAIC role allows and what you approved. With no permission chosen it is read-only.
    • Your Org Admin can see and revoke the connection under Admin → Integrations → MCP Server → Connected clients.

    Audit trail

Linking and unlinking a Teams account, and every intake submitted or decided in Teams, are written to your organization's activity log (TEAMS_ACCOUNT_LINKED, TEAMS_ACCOUNT_UNLINKED, TEAMS_INTAKE_SUBMITTED, TEAMS_INTAKE_DECIDED). Ask RAIC's sign-in and each tool call are logged like any other MCP connection.
